At the end of 2005 Mark Bowness’ marriage had ended and he headed back to the Wirral to live with his parents. After a few turbulent months he began to understand the seemingly obvious, that, as human beings, we live life once. This may be obvious but is a sentiment that is not truly understood.
This understanding had a profound effect on Mark and as a result he created, devised and launched tribewanted.com, pulling on board business partner, Ben Keene.
tribewanted is an award winning project which brings people together, online, in order to develop an eco-island in Fiji. After gaining signifiant worldwide media attention tribewanted was filmed for 18 months and became a 5 part prime time BBC2 programme called ‘Paradise or Bust’, which has also aired in Australia.
Mark is very proud of Tribewanted, of the employment that this has brough to the people of Mali. On a weekly basis, Mark continues to recieve emails from individuals whose state that their lives have literally been changed by this project.
