Today was a fantastic day. I had an incredible opportunity to speak at Young Voice ‘08 which is a conference dedicate to inspiring a new generation to become social entrepreneurs. I love opportunities to spend time with young people and encouraging them to do something worthwhile with their lives - to make a positive impact in the the lives of those around them and the environment in which they find themselves. Young Voice ‘08 was a fantastic platform to do this. It was also excellent to be speaking alongside Tim Campbell the winner of the very first ‘The Apprentice’ programme.

It was interesting that whilst I was at Young Voice ‘08, having heard me speak, one guy approached me who had heard of ‘Have You Got The Nerve?’ TV and he asked to film me for a short programme that he is working on for Channel 4 so that was exciting!

have always been passionate about the fact that there are everyday ordinary people, just like me, who have ideas for TV programmes which could be the next X Factor, the next Eastenders, the next ‘Lost’ and more. It seems that the government agrees with me!
It was fantastic to read today about how the Government is putting time, effort, energy and focus on making the UK’s creative industry one of the most powerful industries in the world - all within the next 10 years. This will involve conferences, training, centers of excellence and a focus on developing the creativity of the UK. Of course this is exactly the heart of ‘Have You Got The Nerve?’ and I am in the process of developing discussions with the Government with regards to our project.
‘Have You Got The Nerve’? TV was launched 5 weeks ago with a passion to empower everyday ordinary members of the public to have a role in the development of the traditional media scene.
In just short amount of time we have over 500+ Executive Producers signed up from over 8 Countries and we are well on our way to launching the beta version of our social networking site (launching at the end of February).
One of the most exciting aspects of this project is that we have received heaps of interest from TV Channels and I have a number of meetings lined up with television commissioners. Most notably however, if the fact that the BBC have asked me to share the ‘Have You Got The Nerve?’ TV vision to the top 150 employees of the BBC and to offer my thoughts on the development of television over the next 18 months. This is a huge step for ‘Have You Got The Nerve?’ TV.

The other interesting aspect is that recently my consultancy work through People Passion Planet has dramatically increased with lots of interest from individuals and companies who want me to consult them on their own developments. This is something I am very passionate about so if this is something that interests you please do get in touch.
